BUFSABRE'S HOMEPAGE FOR THE 3d Sabres Crest

The door was open for the Sabres in 1999. Their only worry to the finals were the New Jersey Devils. Thanks to Pittsburgh the road is clear. In the first round, Buffalo made short work of the Ottawa Senators. Four straight.

Boston opened with a victory, but weren't in the second round after that. Scoring only one more win after going down 3-1 in the series.

The leafs in the third round were the last Canadian hope, they ran out of steam, similar to last years Sabres. With the experience gained in three rounds last year, the Sabres are looking for more this year, while Leaf fans were just happy to see them go this far.

It's off to the finals with Dallas, who have split the season series 1-1 with Buffalo. If you like low scoring hard hitting games, then this round is for you.
